November 9th, 2024, will forever hold a special place in my heart because it was the day I had the absolute honor of photographing Gabby and Tucker’s wedding at the romantic Wish Well House in Georgetown, Texas. This wasn’t just any wedding for me—Gabby and I were inseparable in middle school before I moved to South Carolina. We lost touch over the years, but when she reached out and asked me to photograph her wedding, I was beyond honored and emotional to have the opportunity. Seeing my childhood best friend marry the love of her life was such a full-circle moment, and I truly couldn’t stop smiling—and tearing up—behind the camera.

Ceremony

From the very beginning of the ceremony, emotions were already overflowing. Before Gabby walked down the aisle, an audio recording of her voice played, speaking directly to Tucker. She told him how deeply she loved him and what this day meant to her. The second he heard her words, you could see him completely melt. Tears filled his eyes, and by the time the doors opened and she walked toward him, the look on his face said everything—absolute adoration, awe, and gratitude. It was one of those moments that reminded me what a wedding should really feel like.

Reception

One of the most special details about their day was how intentional it felt from start to finish. Gabby and Tucker actually met in college as they were both studying dance, so their first dance was choreographed by a mutual college friend. It added such a unique, personal touch that truly reflected their story and made for stunning images.

And let me just say—the reception was EVERYTHING. It was hands down one of the most fun celebrations I’ve ever photographed. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and the energy in the room was contagious. If you know Gabby, you know this was exactly how her wedding was going to be—joyful, full of life, and unforgettable. Their sweet pup even made appearances throughout the day, which made it even more special.

To Gabby and Tucker—thank you for trusting me with such an important day. It meant the world to capture these moments for you, and I’m so happy we reconnected after all these years.
